Homegrown Hub Foundation
Homegrown Hub Foundation is a Missouri-based nonprofit organization created to address the structural barriers that prevent rural individuals from turning skills, work, and ideas into stable income.
In many rural communities, opportunity is constrained not by a lack of talent or effort, but by limited access to markets, limited margin for risk, and the absence of systems designed to support early-stage income generation. The Foundation exists to help close that gap.
Our Focus
The Foundation’s work centers on income stability as a prerequisite for long-term business success. Rather than beginning with business ownership as the entry point, the model is designed to help individuals first generate reliable income, gain experience within real market conditions, and gradually move toward sustainability and ownership.
Core focus areas include:
- Reducing early-stage financial risk for rural entrepreneurs
- Providing access to practical skill development and applied experience
- Supporting readiness for long-term business viability
- Strengthening rural communities by keeping economic activity local
How the Foundation Works
Homegrown Hub Foundation designs and stewards nonprofit programs focused on income generation, training, and risk mitigation for rural individuals and small businesses.
The Foundation’s role is to operate and oversee these nonprofit components — ensuring that income-building opportunities are accessible, ethical, and aligned with long-term community stability.
While the Foundation and Homegrown Hub Marketplace operate as separate legal entities, they are intentionally aligned in mission. The Foundation does not operate the Marketplace or administer its transactions, but may coordinate programmatic access to independent market channels as part of its broader support model.
